The "Slicker 'n Nicker" Ride-A-Thon
EquiFriends' annual major fundraiser is held on the first Saturday of May each year. The 25-mile horseback ride takes place on beautiful wooded trails near Arlington, WA. Horse riders from all over the region gather fundraising pledges for EquiFriends and enjoy a fun-filled event, which includes complimentary BBQ'd hamburgers, prizes, T-shirts and much more.
To participate, riders must obtain a Ride-A-Thon pledge sheet, and gather fundraising pledges and contributions for EquiFriends. All donations are completely tax deductible. Individuals request pledges for the miles they ride or for a flat donation for the day. Most participants collect their pledge donations before the ride and bring them on the day of the ride.
